New Lavender Pond Pads for average sized garden ponds. They contain a proportion of lavender stalks mixed with the barley straw, which have been shown by research at the Centre for Aquatic Plant Management, to be an even more effective natural algaecide than barley straw itself. Their use is only recommended, however, in systems with forced water circulation to ensure sufficient oxygen in the water.

Pond Pad Floater holds the Pond Pad just below the surface of the water and in the best place to treat the whole pond - central in a still pond or near the water inlet where there is a flow.

The Floater also helps protect the Pond Pad from energetic fish and enables the Pond Pad to be inspected and replaced easily.

Algal problems are often associated with high levels of nitrates on which algae feed.Microbes,present in all ponds,are responsible for removing nitrates.The Microbial Booster Pellet is designed to be used with Pond Pads and contains two groups of microbes.The first immediately reduces the nitrates,starving the algae,which die back quickly.The second group acts on the Pond Pad,breaking down the straw and kick starting its long term control action.
